Aspire Athletics, in partnership with Momentum Sports, delivers outstanding athletics and speed development programmes for children and young athletes aged 3.5–17 years at Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub in Walton-on-Thames.

Our mission is simple: to help young people develop confidence, athletic ability, and a lifelong love of sport through expert coaching and a proven long-term athlete development pathway.

Our Athlete Development Pathway

Little Athletes (Ages 3.5–5)

Launching This Summer

Our Little Athletes programme introduces young children to movement through exciting, game-based activities designed specifically for early years development.

Children will:

  • Run, jump, throw, catch, and kick
  • Develop balance and coordination
  • Learn fundamental movement skills
  • Build confidence and independence
  • Improve listening and teamwork skills
  • Stay active while having fun

The emphasis is always on enjoyment, exploration, and building positive experiences through movement.


Fundamentals Programme (Ages 5–7)

Our youngest athletes begin learning the building blocks of athletics through engaging and age-appropriate activities.

Athletes develop:

  • Agility, balance, and coordination
  • Running, jumping, and throwing skills
  • Rhythm and body awareness
  • Confidence through achievement
  • Social skills and teamwork
  • A love of sport and physical activity

We believe in developing strong foundations before introducing advanced technical skills.

No child is rushed. Every athlete progresses at their own pace.


Athletic Skills Programme (Ages 8–10)

As athletes grow, we begin introducing more structured athletics coaching while maintaining a fun and supportive environment.

Sessions include:

  • Correct running mechanics
  • Sprint development
  • Relay skills and changeovers
  • Jumping technique and safe landings
  • Introduction to throwing events
  • Speed, agility, and reaction training
  • Endurance development
  • Low hurdles and movement drills
  • Teamwork, resilience, and discipline

Led by experienced UK Athletics coaches and former elite athletes, this programme provides purposeful athletic development during key growth years.


Performance Pathway (Ages 11+)

Youth Athletics Development & Competition Programme

Our Performance Pathway supports young athletes who are ready for more structured training and competition opportunities.

Athletes benefit from:
